[Yaris WRC]

I was drag racing today.

It was raining hard and surface water but it didnt make much difference the power was put down really well.

i ran a 16.04sec

anyone else got times for a comparrison

i have a video of my practise run i will post later. ITS LEGAL

Totally stock (nothing stripped out), except a backbox. I got 16.95 at Santapod. So 16 is a very good time.

I ran mine at Crail Raceway in Scotland b4 i put the exhaust on it..................

I ran 16.447

Thought this was a good time compaired to the suzuki swift gti i had b4 that which i only managed 17.255

I got 17.43 using an obd scanner.

That was on wet,with 2 people inside,each one weighting 15 stone.

Plus half tank of petrol,and my clutch isnt at its best.

Toyota gives 16.7 for the Tsport I think.

this is what we got with a yaris 1.3 on wet,again 2 people in the car etc,the car has the gearbox from the Tsport,

there was also a jet car there. the one the runs at santa pod.

LOL he was there to provide the 'between classes' entertainment

he took it up the strip in the pouring rain and... spun out, the Shell cam off and went one way while the drive and engine went the other.

unfortunatly the Shell hit the timing gear at end of strip and the event had to be called off with only the first two classes getting to race

Wouldnt having the gear box from a more powerfull car make it slower, as its geared for a more powerful car, ive seen more powerful cars use gears from less powerfull cars!(i hope i got that the right way around!!)

The gearing is different on a tsport and a normal yaris..

hence we get get to 60 on two gear changes and tsports have to get to 60 on 3
