E11 Supercharging

hi, could anyone give me some basic info on this as i'm quite interested in doing this to my beloved car!

i know a few people on here have supercharged rolla's so i thought it would be a good place to ask.

could you tell me basically what is needed? is there extensive mods required? or is there anything thats fairly simple to install in comparison with a lump transplant?

please forgive me for my retardedness as i do not know much in the way of cars...

any help would be gratefully appreciated!

Joe

Things needed

4azge front cut (best way to make sure you get all the bits)

2.1/2inch exhaust system

Air filter

then fitting

that lot works out to about 4k

It's quite an easy install of the engine most of the mounts are the same think there is only 1 that is not in the correct place. The ecu and the wiring is a bit of a nightmare :help:

Then you need to figure out if you want a front mount intercooler or keep with the top mount.

Then there are suspension things to think about, and thats a pain in the :censor:  Spring hight shocks etc

Hmmm what else to be honest you have to ask yourself why you want to put a 4agze in your rolla if you want all out power then you have chosen the wrong engine.

If you want a daily driver that puts a smile on you face when you put your foot down, and there is the sound of the charger spinning up B) B) then maybe the 4agze is for you. Dont get me wrong its a good engine but the time effort money you can spend on it you might think it's not worth it

3SGTE is the daddy ;) 250bhp standard you have to pay more to get the engine and then have it fitted but as they say you get what you pay for :D

4AGE 20V I only know of one person that did the conversion in his rolla then swapped it for a 3sgte. Thinking about it someone on toc did the conversion also I remember at JAE last year being taken out to buy beer in one it was quite fast but I cannot remember it that well :lol:

thats about all the options dude

You could allways do a 4agze conversion then get a tiwn charger kit but they are like rocking horse :censor: to find one :lol:

hmmm I love my 4agze and I dont really have anything bad to say about it :lol: It could be faster it could have better mpg..... but then I would not like it so much :D

The 20v is good but I think there are limits on what you can get out of it power wise also like the 4agze kinda hard to break 200bhp

Get a 4agze shove a turbo on it ;) 250bhp easy :lol::lol:

is there any way to get a fair amount of bhp and torque out of the 3zz-fe?

or is a transplant the only way to go?
