My seats are getting a bit worn out, so I was wondering if it is possible to fit front and rear seats from a corolla gti (E9) / celica into an e10 rolla?

It's possible, but I've heard it can be quite difficult. If you can source a pair of seats from an AE101/AE111 Levin, or any of the E10/E11 sports models in the UK, they will swap right in without a problem... just undo 4 bolts and bolt in the new seats. It's the E10/E11 Corolla's side mount seat rails that make things a bit difficult.

This is interesting for I have always thought about changing the front seats in my AE111 Corolla for some AE92 GTi seats (which I find very comfortable in my AE92 GTi) I did have the chance of some 'Mint' AE92 Seats but decided against it as was unsure of how well they would fit in a my AE111, Glad I didn't after what you just said.

Then realised i should have had them anyway as spares for my AE92 GTi,

Perhaps I will have to look for some mint AE101 (GXi ?) seats as I find all the AE111 range not so comfortable for long distance.

The gxi seats are well nice, but hard to find.

As far as I'm aware the front seast from the ae-92, ae-101 and ae-111 all fit, but back are different from the ae-92 to the 101 and 111.

The ae-111 came with leather seats, as msc-kev will show u.

The levin and trueno are not HB as such, more like coupe/sedan's and as such the back seast are totally different....

So the front seats mountings /runners / subframes are exactly the same / same bolt holes /mounting points etc?

From my experience this is true for the ae-101 to the ae-111. One of the admin from this site specifically said that the floor plans for the ae-92 gti and ae-101 were the same, and that seats would fit. he was in the know, he had put mr2 turbo leather seats in his ae-92, but had to change the mountings.

So the bolt wholes and mounts should be the same,
