If your listed in the Bt phone book then he could have got your address from that if he knew the rough area you live in.

Well the guy never rang my Mum back at 4 today..... obviously not that important to him then!

Still its a shame I never found out who it was giving out my parents details, although I have my suspicions.....

My $0.02’s worth.

When this man calls your mum back, I would ask him to leave contact details.

If he says no, then she says there is nothing else she can do and hang up. I wouldn’t recommend getting into any conversation with him, its details or hang up.

IF he does leave details then you can question him.

If you are unsure about anything then maybe ring your local Police station for advice.

Thats what I planned to do, had he actually called back, but he never did, so tough luck him!

He still might call...

Buyer beware if they look at your old car  It may not hold up too well in another smash and would be a potential death trap.

Thank goodness for HPI checks.

Well I was surprised it was sold - I expected it to be used for spares and repairs!

sounds most likley. esp if the log book was changed. if he doesnt want you to have his details then tell him to sling his hook then go round the dealers and give them a round of f@cks

People do legitamatly sell written off cars as damage repairables, as long as they tell the buyer the car's history at time of purchase its fine! My friend's dad has a garage which specialises in the repair and resale of damage repairable write offs, so it is perfectly plausable!

As for the guy getting details of your mums address... i think thats a bit out of line!

Hmm....

Track down who gave out the info, and beat them to within an inch of their life with their own limbs!

Freedom of Info Act also DOES NOT cover personal information.

It's to do with consumers being able to ask to see company accounts, etc....

Don't give him the key, unless he leaves some details.

You didn't leave anything in the car after the accident, did ya?

I cleared everything outta the Micra after the crash, cause the insurance would want the service history, etc when they get the vehicle scrapped, etc.
