ur based in ireland so expect to pay at least £4500 for a good one. in my humble opinion thats a rip off, but seems good value considering i saw a mint low mileage original condition one in the trader for £7k!! minimum is around £2500 for a bad one, but a bad one is gonna be a veeeeery bad one, so best avoided. get an mr2 instead.....

I very much doubt you will get 1 for 2.5k there was an accident damaged (total rite off) 1 on eBay a while ago and it went for nearly 3 grand so good luck

I fancy a split screen vw camper myself and they are going for more than the rear wheel drives and they're around twenty years older and rustier than the ae86s :o
