Fuel Door Indicator ?

Can anyone tell me whether the "Fuel Door Open" logo on the dash board lights up when the you open the petrol cap ? I have never seen this light up and wondered what the logo is for if it does not come on when the petrol cap is open, maybe mine is at fault and has been since I had the car from new please let me know.

No I dont think it lights up it only tells you which side of the car the fuel cap is on

One bit lights up on low fuel - been a while since mine was left that low so not sure which part actually lights up now though ...

It doesnt light up to tell you the fuel flap is open, just a gentle reminder as to which side the fuel cap is on.

There is a separate light, at the bottom. for the fuel low warning. :)
