What stereo are you putting in?

If you have power but no sound, I would check the connections on all your stereo speaker outputs.

Do you have RCA cables running to the head unit? or speaker wires?

How are you connecting the stereo wiring harness to your head unit? bare wires in a connection block or an ISO adaptor?

If you are using the block adaptor that is attached to the stereo wiring harness it maybe that it is incompatible with the block on you head unit. I had to get a Toyota to Kenwood adaptor from Halfords, when I put my Kenwood head unit in. (£15 I believe)

As for the amp, I believe that it is under the passenger seat, if you have one. (amp not passenger seat! :D )
