Corolla New Diesel Engines

Last time i was in the dealers with my car, the foreman said that Toyota are bringing out a rang of diesel engines and that one of these a 150 bhp diesel will be making its way in to the corolla, any ideas when this is coming out and how much one may cost?

While on the subject of Toyota Corolla 'Diesels' did the older versions use a 'Peugeot based' unit?

Why oh why did a company like Toyota (who have an Ace reliability record) even associate with a firm like Peugeot

I have no idea, Toyota have a new small car coming out soon the argo??? Its been designed by Peugoat and Citrograon, and it has all french wiring, better go warm up the old soldering iron :censor:

nothing official on new diesels yet, there will be an new 136hp engine for Corolla verso, 150&180hp for Avensis. 136hp engine might make it to Corolla eventually, but not within next 6 months at least.

150hp in avensis is almost here - 2 months away from most european markets.

Dude, its the same car as the new 107....seriously....peugoet platform and many many lovely french bits!
