Are there any issues in fitting a later spec gearbox to a rev1 car? For example a 1993 box?

Is everything the same? Basically, will it be able to plop straight onto my car? My car has a Kaaz aftermarket LSD fitted, so would this affect anything when fitting a later spec box?

Are things like speedo sensors etc the exact same between boxes?

A rev 3 'box will have an LSD as standard.

The speedo is cable on a rev 1, but electronic on rev 2 on, but I do believe you can fit your cable drive in place of the electronic sensor (which is worth a fair few bob).

Not sure about driveshafts and bell housing (the bit that covers your clutch and bolts to the engine block) though.
