I just bought myself a 96 ST 1.8

Its an amazing car to drive! Okay so its not a GT but hey, its fine for me!

I previously had a *cough* corsa *cough* so this is only my second car, but already I know im keeping this baby for a long time.

I'm thinking of getting an induction kit for it, but after searching on the net for about an hour, i cant find any to fit the ST.

does anyone know any decent sites or where I can go to get one?

any help would be greatly appreciated!

Nice choice of car  and you're right the 1.8 is plenty

as for induction kits I'm sure there is plenty - I've not looked into it myself but I think the standard K&N 57i fits, but the Blitz kit is recommended.

From what I've heard the Battery gets in the way of air flow a bit though so to maximise it you need to relocate the Battery - either a special Battery under the passenger seat - or move it to the boot.

You won't get much performance form a filter alone, it may sound a bit throatier though. You may get a couple of hp if you couple it with a performance exhaust system.

Good luck

without feeding it cold air in a closed enviroment away from engine heat you might lose power rather than gain any.i'd opt for a panel filter over induction kit , all you will gain is noise
