hi i own a r reg toyota starlet cd with the bog 43fe engine in it

can some one tell me if this will fit and what kind of power difference i will notice

it will almost certainly fit. You wouldn't notice much benefit in terms of power, but it should sound nicer.

unless you have a cold air feed, i think you will lose power or not gain anything. :(

starlet air intake is mounted just above the front grill where you can pretty much consider the air to have highest stagnation pressure, therefore most power output.

in case i have lost anyone there:

total pressure = stagnation (or static) pressure + dynamic pressure

at the front of the car, the dynamic pressure is very low, so you could rewrite that equation

total pressure = stagnation pressure

this is what you want!

if you have the suction kit, you end up with high dynamic pressure (because of its location and air temp) which results in a loss of static pressure and therefore power.
