Ee80 - Carb Help

For a while now, my car has been running rich and over the past few weeks it got really bad.

So, I swapped the carb off my old EE80 (which ran perfect on that), with the one on my present car.

After I finished this, the car continued as it did before, with no real difference.

Therefore I figured it had to be something engine based.

First idea was the water pipes to the carb were blocked making the choke stick on but they were fine.

----------------------------------------------

On tick over I can hear the exhuast "coughing" and can smell petrol a lot. Also the fuel consumption has increased.

The HT leads are a little worn (which I am replacing) but the problem is definitely greater than that.

I know the EE80 carbs are notoriously bad, but I would really like to fix this problem and have ran out of ideas.

Can anyone help????
