Cold Start Problems

My 2004 corolla 1.6 VVTi with 9000 miles on the clock revs at 2100 when first started from cold. Checked with my dealer who says its normal!! Other corollas same type rev at 1200 to 1400 from cold start. Does anyone have the same problem ? Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this is happening? I am concerned at the lack of oil pressure when the engine is first started and the potential damage this could cause.
