Mobile Phone Warning

If you receive a phone call and your Mobile phone displays (ACE) on the

screen don't answer the call. END THE CALL IMMEDIATELY. If you answer the

call, your phone will be infected by a virus.

This virus will erase all IMEI and IMSI information from both your phone

and your SIM card, which will make your phone unable to connect with the

telephone Network. You will have to buy a new phone.

This information has been confirmed by both Motorola and Nokia. There are

over 3 million mobile phones being infected by this virus all around the

world. You can also find this information on the CNN web site.

PLEASE FORWARD THIS PIECE OF INFORMATION TO ALL YOUR MATES WHO HAVE

Yep - sorry..... BarryFlood posted similar a while ago and it was a hoax - you cant infect a mobile by calling it! :yes:

It's a hoax - a virus couldn't spread by a phone call and it would be almost impossible for a virus to cause this sort of damage to every single make and model of phone out there (and I don't think you can actually erase the IMEI anyway).

There is an MMS virus out there but it only affects a very small subset of highend phones, it has a relatively harmless payload, and the user has to be pretty dumb to get infected...
