I'm getting bored with having little power until the turbo spins up at 3000rpm on my ST205. Would an air induction kit/exhaust help with the turbo lag?

would help the turbo spin up quicker if you got an exhaust and decat. nitrous would also help if you want to get quick acceleration below 3k.

a hybrid turbo could also help but is expensive.

See www.fensport.co.uk

Loads of goodies to lose the turbo lag - how deep are your pockets?

:P

 It's called a gearbox.

Come on. It takes a fraction of a second to reach 3000rpm in first. You're telling me that's time to get bored?

There is also a limit on 1st and 2nd gear so you will never realise full boost in them.

Try taking up needle work to fill the time between gear changes.

Granny shifting? me?

it's really the around town bit that I find annoying, open roads is cool.

I have a problem shifting at 7000rpm, either linkage or synchomesh make it impossible, must investigate but the potential cost to fix is frightening me....

...rest assured I drive it properly and keep the image up.....

Could be something to do with the 6,800rpm rev limiter. ;)
