Electric Windows

Hi guys, Just wondering if anyone has ever fitted electric windows to a corolla E10. I have a basic 1.3 sportif with keep fit windows (winders) i have been to my local scrap yard and noticed a corolla GXI wit electric windows and all the switches are still intacked., any ideas if it is possible to take the parts off that corolla and put them on mine. If its going to be a big job i might not bother, but if its possible and the wiring is there, just need to know if anyone has tried it or if ne1 knows how easy it will be, cheers people

I don't know whether yours already has the wiring for it. All the U.S. models had the wiring (mine doesn't even have central locking!); I'd be fairly certain the UK models would too. Just have to add the door wiring and I think a few small harnesses, plus the mechanical aspect. If I'm not mistaken, the window regulator is different and will require changing as well.

By the way, if you do go back to remove the window stuff from the car, I'm interested in buying the ECU from it if it's still there.

Do a search on eBay for a kit,got mine from there - genuine Toyota Kit - Easy enough to fit.
