Double Din Head Unit And Screen

The screen isn't motorised, you probably press a button and it pops out, then you move it into position etc. That's prob one reason why it's so cheap.

I've looked at that a few times and think it's ok. I would buy one if it had front pre-outs, rear pre-outs and a sub pre-out also.

I think it's good for the money tbh.

checking out his other auctions, he also has similar ones but with different screens etc. Good price I think... think I'll be looking at getting one sometime soonish.

you can get a motorised version for $209!!! CHEAPNESS

lookie

btw $209 is only £109 !!!!!

I ve got a 1990 mk2 with standard double din cd/radio, would this unit just plug straight in do you think?

the motorised one looks excellent for £209-£254 with postage, didn t see that one before. I m just a bit concerned about the build quality, the actual CD/DVD player looks like a cheapo cd player, but I guess it is a cheap in car DVD player!

I think Im gonna go for one, probably the motorised one, seems like a lot of stereo fro the money. Did yours play copies with no problem? DVDs and CDs

I'm very tempted by them myself. Don't have any issues with the screen portion of it but I'm worried about the DVD/CD/tuner portion. No idea about how well it's put together. Plus remember postage - that's about 50% of the purchase price on top!

So far I've been holding off for a more mainstream double din style head unit to come up. Anyone else have one of these as I'm currently without a stereo and desperate for either a nice Double Din or something a bit different like this.

yeah i had the motorised one, altho i would prefer the manual one as the motorised kept going back in when you turned off the power.

yep, it played copies of all dvd's and cd's no problems at all. the picture quality of the screen was good too.

the price is in pounds mate not dollars, still a bargain i reckon.

Why was it a problem the screen going back in when you turned it off?

well at shows, sometimes it was nice to show off the fact you had a tv screen in there but if the keys werent in the ignition, you couldnt show off your tv screen

Cant be good quality tho.. really,

You can only just get a good brand MP3 player for that price. Bet there are loads of dead pixels on the screen the the DVD's play backwards only!

lmao... shut up.. read the guys feedback.

Are you telling me you wouldn't buy a stereo which is unbranded or something, but is the exact same as a sony/alpine branded one? Simply without the brand?

The sooner someone buys one of these things the sooner we'll know what it's like.
