Temp Gauge

hi guys the other day i noticed the temp gauge sits about a quarter up now, sometimes it rises to the normal postion, ive not noticed no power reducement, or no white smoke, hot air still comes out the vents so it cant be the gasket or anything...could i have a faulty sensor??

does it take a long time for the car to warm up ??

may be the thermostat is jammed open ?

yeah i was thinking the thermostat has jammed open, least its better to have failed in the open postion

Id defo change the thermostat then.

Like you say, its better jammed open, than closed !

A new one is only a couple of quid, but as its nearing summer and warmer weather, go for a TRD one, they open earlier at a lower temp, so it will help keep the car cool in the summer sun !!
