Cars Been Lowered

I've had my car lowered today on Tein s-tech springs, it's only a 38mm drop at the rear but it looks much lower and much better than what I thought, and at least I won't have to buy coilovers as I first thought.

The front's on a 35mm drop but doesn't look much different to standard.

After having driven the car for 5 months on the standard springs it takes a while to get used to the slightly harsher ride.

here's some pics

That looks good mate.

Any trouble with speedbumps or the many mini roundabouts around Wrexham?

No problema yet, have to slow down a little more to go over the speed bumps, but no scrubbing

They are the same wheels just the front ones don't have the covers on as the wheel locking nuts have to go on a certain way for the cover to fit, but they didn't put them on in the right holes and i don't want to sand the covers down again so i'll just change the nuts around

While we're on about it though, I prefer those wheels without the covers. Look more aggressive, if you know what I mean.

Not sure I like them without the covers, I know what you mean by looking more aggressive.

Looks good! What offset are those wheels? They look a bit beach-buggy? (I said a bit!!)

How much were the springs if ya don't mind me asking? Also, is handling any better for you? I should hope so!

I believe the wheels are a 35 offset, and the springs cost £152.75 from Kevin @ envy.

Don't know about being beach buggyish, if they were wider they woul look like that.

You shouldn't have to worry about speed humps. I could take speed humps at full speed with the T-Sport lowered by 30mm.

Doesn't rub, but being stiffer you have to go over the speed bumps slower,

Nearly got some 18" chrome TSW volcano wheels today for £500, brand new and part ex old ones, really really nice but I can't afford it plus it would slow the car down a hell of a lot, plus the arches probabally would need to be removed never mind rolled for them to fit

Looks good - almost makes me tempted to lower Kaori...... (I said almost!) lol

alloys look nice too - I must admit when they are lowered Yarii do tend to look a little better (I said a little!)

Doesnt mean my Kaori isnt sex on wheels though!:thumbsup:

I've had the Tein S-Techs on since january and find them really good - just the right balance between stiff and low whilst maintaining practicality.

Oh - and nice care by the way

Today's the only day I've managed to drive it properly since getting them fitted, they make a hell of a difference to conering, the cars much better, except for the odd few big pot holes
