Exhaust Has Gone :-(

My standard exhaust is blowing becuase there is a hole in the middle section due to rust. need some advice! should i get a new exhaust system or try to repair it? does anybosy know where 2 get exhaust parts from? i kinda liked the standard paseo exhaust style!

don't bother with that exhaust weld crap, it doesn't work - well only for a little while.

I suggest you change the section, its not hard to do provided the pipes haven't rusted together inwhich case you'll need a bit of heat and a hammer.

alternately if you or a mate is good with a mig welder you could attempt to weld it up but welding to rust is not easy!

has it blown a hole in the middle of the box or where the box joins the pipe?

i think the hole is where the box joins the pipe..do you know where to get parts from ?

its probably the back box that has gone. Just phone up your local motor factors and see who does bosal exhausts, and quote the part number at them. Not sure about sheffield but AE Cooks in Grimsby, Scunny, Doncaster should be able to sort you out.

oddly paseo's only seem to have two sections

098-848 front + middle section

28-087 back box

you'll have to do a bit of donkey work and find out which bit is broken! I'd probably say it was the back box if any bit was going to break but you say its the middle bit!

Yeah i would just replace it with a different system as my exhaust basically fell off just behind the backbox and replaced it with a custom powerflow one and its much better!

Toyota backbox's cost £160 and powerflow charged me £185 and its got a lifetime warrenty!!!

If its before the back box then im afraid its going to be expensive, My whole system went and Toyota was the only place you could get the system and they wanted £467! As its all 1 pipe including the cat.

Fingers crossed it is the back box!!!

They cut off a bity before the backbox and welded on a new bit of pipe in to the backbox, new backbox(which you can choose how loud you want) and then they do you a custom tip of your choice! Labour inc in that price aswell!!

Basically drive it into the bay and they do all you want them too!!! Its great i had so much fun!!! lol

this is what it looked like on the stock bumber. I think i had either a 110 or 130 box with a 4,5in slash cut tip!
