Hi all :) went to jack my Celica up using my nice new trolly jack and wasn't sure

what part to use, i looked at this ref:

http://www.celicatech.com/imagearchive/bgb...%20hoisting.pdf

but cant see the front beam they show, only the back horizontal one with a

vertical one going down under the engine.

is it possible to lift the whole front of these with a jack?

You can lift the whole of the front of the car using the central beam, But observe the following. Position the jack where the central beam joins the cross members, this is the strongest part of the beam and will reduce th e risk of damaging it. Make sure the rear wheels are chocked and the handbrake is firmly applied and lastly and most important. Make sure you use axle stands once the car is up. It`s verry easy for the trolley jack to slip off the beam if your doing any pushing, pulling etc. Better safe than dead.:thumbsup::thumbsup:
