Boot - The Final Frontier

Anyone have any measurements for how big the boot of a Yari is? I know the seats move etc, but although i haven't got the car yet (LOOKING AT ONE LATER TODAY) I'm also going to buy a suitcase on the way... Help? Buying a suitcase that wont fit could be awkward, and i need the case now anyway whether i get the car or not.... Anyone got any measurements?

Cheers for looking it's just i kinda needed dimensions... Like depth and width of boot etc... Would be a lot easier if i had the car, however i need the suitcase for tomorrow, and I'm seeing the Yaris at like 7, hence shops closed. (Also measuring someone else boot might be seen as rude and weird) *note* i can handle being weird :)

I've had a look on the Toyota website for you but all internal dimensions are N/A according to them, so I dont know!

The brochure I think states it, but I gave mine to my Grandad, so I dont know! :(

Sorry, too much trouble to go out again to measure my boot on a lazy Sunday afternoon but a couple of normal suitcases will fit (upright) in the boot, no troubles provided rear seat is moved forward. Other soft bags and holdalls will fit around them too.

Yeah, for sizes and things i never found MrT site useful...

Might try and dig out an online brochure...

I know i have one somewhere in the house, but its like trying to find a bit of straw in a stack of needles - using only your teeth..

I wouldn't ask some-one to measure they're boot on a sunday, thats cruel... *bats eyelids*

I have my old brochure... there is nothing in there about the actual dimensions of the boot (sorry)... it just gives the volumes... 0.203m³ (seats upright) and 0.950m³ (seats folded).

Good luck in your search...

don't forget that you can fold the back seats up.... so fitting a suitcase should not be a problem... ;)

It will fit. How big a case are you going to get?

You can always lay it flat and fold down a back seat or two but I really doubt you'll need to.

With the seats pushed fully forward its 22inch from back of car to back of seat,

its 32inchs wide arch to arch and 16inch high.

with the seats pulled back its only 14inch from back of car to seat.

hope that helps

I must sound insane... - i'm going on a trip with 4 people, and I'm buying a new case for us to use, that i'll keep afterwards. As i'm looking for yaris, i dont want to buy a case that wont fit snugly in the back without sacrificing the rear passengers room.. Because they complain... And annoy... And you can still hear them after you turn up the music

Kimi i love you, would you like to come on the trip with us? lol

Thankyou so much

Where are we going nice then

Just remember if you have the seats fully forward, there is hardly any legroom.

i use my car for trips to Cornwall so i know how important the boot is
