Thought I'd start an ICE-Poll (sorry for the bad pun). Just to see what the most popular form of In-Car-Entertainment is.

Anyone got anything they're particularly proud of?

Personally, I love my Clarion Touch Screen MP3-CD Player. Never fails to impress!

Nice  I was thinking of getting a DVD player, but I came to the conclusion that I would probably get to distracted by it and crash.

I have a 60gig photo ipod.

and have a vais tech unit on its way, that will integrate the ipod with my stereo, and allow me to control the ipod using the touch screen and steering wheel stereo controls

these ipods seem a worthwhile purchase! im gettin narked these days with the old CD MP3 system with burning disks etc etc... quite fancy the plug/play/transfer method

I also have just the standard CD Player, which I use most of the time..team it with London's Heart FM from time to time and I'm sorted :D

I find that installing the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in the back seat gives me a wonderful variety and spin on any track I wish.

Only problem however is only 2 of them can get in at a time............ :P

So I'll stick to the good ol' Cd/radio/tape combo for now or until I get a Jumbo jet for them all to travel with me in...........

Have to say I'm against iPod's. Just don't trust them, my bro had one, and after a year and a half it decided to nuke itself.......

It deleted all music from itself and whenever you tried to connect it back up to the computer, it crashed the computer. tried to connect it to a mates iBook and the iBook just laughed saying "I don't know what that is you've plugged into me".

And of course since it's out of it's 1 year warranty he's :censor: .

I'm a die hard fan of the MP3-CD, 13+ hours of music does me fine.

Standard CD and radio suits me fine. Still getting a buzz from being able to control them from the steering wheel. Silly, I know. :D

A bit of this that and the other for me..

Got the roof mount DVD which keeps the kids quiet (PS2 goes with it) s it has infra-red headphones (3 sets) they can play ps2 or watch a DVD while i listen to my mp3 changer or my single disc toyota cd player.. i also have the std toyota casette player.. but what a casette actually is , i have no idea :P and there are times when you just can't beat old fashioned Radio (as long as it's not got "thump thump" music on it.

Mine's just the standard system..

Double Din head unit, 10 speaker surround sound system, automatic Rotating speakerbox on the parcel shelf to change the internal acoustics........

Think the boat was well and truly pushed out for the SLSS system in the Sera !

Best. music. Evah.

If the Yaris hadn't come with the Radio/CD standard I wouldn't even have bothered. Although 106.2 FM around London is nice. ;)

Just the OEM stereo, but it's pretty decent in a Scion. 150 watt Pioneer unit with 6 Speakers, the CD player plays MP3 and it has a built in XM satellite radio tuner. 100+ channels of commercial-free music, news and sports.

lol specs of my install below.

Spent many months getting this setup properly with the right equipment and level of sound proofing.

Pioneer PIO DE9600MP headunit

Directed Power cap with blue led display

2 LED Fans for cooling

Split charging system with 2nd uprated Battery

Rainbow 6.5” components for front

Pioneer 6.5” for rear fill

Orion HCCA 12d Sub

Genesis Monoblock sub amp (sound to be replaced)

Genesis Profile series 4

Pioneer AVD-W8000 8” screen

Centurion DVA-680 DVD changer

System is setup for SQ, but still maintains a crisp clean sound with not too overly powering bass at what has been recorded a 150.5 db running at 1ohm. Demo'd at Donny Show with pleasing results! ;)

Pics are in the garage :)
