Well today i purchased a Starlet and i thought the best place to get some advice is on here, so hello :)

Well about the car

I know it has 3 spoke alloys and i am ashamed.

Toyota Starlet Sportif 1.3 16v in red

57k on the clock, no rust, no white gunk in the oil, no leaks, no dents, few stone chips

Needs new cam belt i think, and brake pads for definate and a new tyre, Or even a full set of alloys :)

well firsts things first, ill hopefully be grtting wheels whithin a few months and im look at 16" Ace rims, (split spokes)

Then Nice exhaust is on the books after that, and ill get a filter at the same time, hopefully ill drop it about 30/40mm aswel. then for the body work ill save up and maybe get a respray as its starting to fade a little bit, and when i do that ill trim the front bumper out.

Ill get some photoshop stuff done to show ya all....... any suggestions are welcome!...

you need a cambelt at 60k mate. check the alternator belt is okay too. it has a tendency to crack

I dunno why everyone else doesn't like the wheels. i think they look alright. looks unmolested, did a granny have it before you?

until you get new wheels, you can always say you believe in function over form and 3 spoke wheels are more aerodynamically efficient :D

Welcome to the club.

I think the starlet can do max 118mph as have tried before if pushing it hard.

remember, all speedos are inaccurate, newer cars less so but you should always account for a 10% inaccuracy (i.e. 10% too much). i know for a fact that all japanese imports are limited to 112mph...and i got upto "115mph" on the m25 with still some pull left, but it was probably around 110mph considering....

it was a womans work car ive been told, and i believe as the interior is spankingly clean. and there is no knocks or grinding from the engine. I think the trackin maybe a lil out as i got a un even wear on the right front tyre, well ill be taking it to a garage for tyres so ill get that checked at the same time
