How did you do it mate? Was it a proper jobby or tin can stuff!?

It requires patience, £10 and sunny slight breey day.

I basically cleaned wheel, primed, painted, then laquered taking wheels off. took a day and a half.

Not bad though really considering how long it would of taken a spray shop to do it and the cost!! Plus, youve got the benefit of knowing that you produced that quality result yourself!!!

im quite impressed witht he results the finish it very very good, no lumps or specs and just sprayed from can. THough i wouldnt say it was perfect. But hey did it myself.

Im a bit dubious to how long it will stay on, "raywong" who gave me the inspiration to do this has had his done for a year or so if i remember right and hes had no problem.

I just need to give them a third coat of laquer and that should sort it out. and when i clean need to be carefull. of course there kerbing as well to take care with.

I got 2 quotes from garages.

I think they would do essentially what i do, but prob put current through it and have spraying tools. I dont even think both of em would sandblast.

quotes were £120-£140 full day job

Oh yes, total respect to you, mate. A good job well done.

Sounds like it was fairly labour intensive but the result must be very satisfying. Now get those tyrewalls dressed to finish off the job!
