Anybody able to tell me best way to get a cassette player fitted to a 2003 Avensis vermont without disturbing the standard radio which has the Nav and fuoel consumtion display as an integral part?

I have been told I can fit an FM modulator to the antenna input and connect a walkman cassette player to this but where and how is best place to break into the antenna input :help:

That has to be the first time ever that I've heard of anyone wanting to add a cassette player to their car :D

well .. googled the subject and it must be something like this you are searching for.

You are NOT supposed to break into the antenna input. Fit the device into the headphone-output and tune in your radio ;-)

i've fitted a rad/cass in my 00 vermont, the only way this is possible is to remove the center console (that jus unclips from the buttom upwards), and removing the cd slot part of the radio (4 screws round the back) and placing your unit there, you'll still have all the buttons abouve, surrounding the multi funcion display, bit you'll only be able to choose between: current MPG, Av MPG and Av Speed, the display will also show the time and temp.
