Imoc Crowd

I'm not slating anyone here but I have found some people on the IMOC site to be very judgemental and sharp in their replies. Can honestly say I've never had that trouble on here. I know some of you are members of IMOC, anyone else noticed this with them?

Can see this thread being closed!

Been to a few of their meets and they are sound.. very different club to TOC tho.

One or two of them are known to "sound" blunt and full of it in their writing, but in person you get to realise they are OK. I have been told I have a similar problem (i.e often what I am trying to say comes accross wrong in writing).

I feel it's because a lot of them know each other outside of the forum. Don't take it personally, but they can sometimes be blunt.

But you get used to it.

 I have indeed found that as well (especially compared to this forum) as I have mentioned before I find many aren't overly keen on opinions other than the "norm" weather the "norm" is in fact true or not. That is kinda to be expected on such a large forum though, see it a bit on IMOC as well.

That's why it's good to be on a range of forums...so when that sorta stuff gets to ya you can just move onto another forum for a while :)

IMOC is about the IMOC way or the wrong way .. MR2oc.co.uk seems a bit more GT wings and lots of boost.

mr2oc.com is a US forum, loads of techies, MR2FAQ is another US one.

TOC seems to be less techie and more chatty ..

lol, dont know much about the imoc way, but i do find some of the knowledge on there exceptional.

most of it is just banter though and as in most walks of life, opinions do differ and thats when arguments start :)

yeah IMOC is pure hardcore MR2 action, still a sound bunch with some clever folk there

i dont think its bad in anyway, just a different view and perspective over things

Dawolf, maybe i can see what you're saying about the judgmental issues but that may be because most of the members have been around the block with MR2's, Spend a bit of time over there and im sure you'll get into the imoc ways  The mechanical knowledge that exists on IMOC is immense, Just look out for JJ, Paul woods and company, you'll see what i mean!

It's been a while since I've been on there BUT AFAIA there aren't many if any people on there dabbling with high hp MR2's....I mean 400+ hp. Im not talking anyone on there down but a couple of my contacts who have PERSONALLY owned and built 400 + hp MR2's often tell me contrary to what I read on there. At the end of the day it's up to everybody as individuals to research there mods etc. etc. it's just a shame that in such a big community that things that start as "myths" get turned into "truth" and just taken as true and correct.

Cheers
