Are you asleep and dream posting now or are you consciously (sp) saying you would like to have one.

There must be specialist importers able to get their hands on one.

Maybe Scionic or somebody in the US could look into it for you. See how much you could buy one over there and get it imported.

There was that black POS one at Ten Of The Best last year in the carpark.

I reckon if you'd offered the guy Fifty quid he'd have sold it !

They pop up on eBay every odd month, did you know there is a website that makes the KITT nose with the lights?... fit right on!

Last one I saw on eBay the guy had painted lined on the hard top to make it look like a T-Top like KITT!

Guy I know in Southhampton plans to buy a Trans Am someday. He wants a 70s one, but will settle for a 3rd (KITT) Gen. if necessary.

BTW, if any of you are in Southhampton, and see a pair of IROC-Z Camaros (Guillermo in blue and Steve in red) tearing down the road and being chased by a modded Primera GT (Rob) be sure you wave. Rob wants the 'Bird.

Handy hint: Those Trans-Ams only had manual gearboxes in the 5-liter ones. If you run across one that has a 5.7 swapped in, but the old 5-speed trasnmission still in it, AVOID. 5.7s were automatic only since GM didn't have a manual that would both fit the car and not fall apart backing the 5.7.

Yeah I remember that one  was my first ever sighting off a T A. And I admit it might have seen better days. Still got the piccy though , lol and it was in a bad way, but nothing alot of TLC could not fix. imo.

I'm don't like the majority of American cars. I could count the ones I do like on one hand.

I like some French cars, they build brilliant diesels. I like some Saabs, but not enough to own one.

How the f*ck can you hate old Merc's? What justification could there be?

God if only any Japanese car EVER was built HALF as well as an old Merc. Solid bank vault doors instead of plingly tinny things. They are the antithesis of the Asian car. Everything is overengineered and built to last instead of the bare minimum and lightest weight possible  Designs are unique and classic forever instead of silly or derivative and dull. Pure classics man.

What else can have a perfect interior with intact leather and seats like new and good paint and carpet after 20 years??? The diesels run 400,000 miles like it's nothing. Nothing is built the way those cars were before or since. The new ones are crap by comparison, tragically. Audis are now better built than most Mercs.

Early 80's and before Mercs are some of the finest cars ever built, period.
