Can You Love It Too Much?

Hello!

How do all the owners out there feel about their Yaris?

Advertising always seems to portray a small car as fun friend, side-kick, partner in crime. Does this ring true at all for Yaris?

I'd be interested to hear any thoughts, stories, anecdotes and feelings on the subject...

Cheers!

Yes I love mine, I'm on my second and I'm after a third next year!!

My Yaris will always have a special place in my heart! I lost my first one after just 10 months of ownership (it was written off after an accident) and I've had my new one for 6 months! My car is very special to me.

I mean what else could you ask for - its smart, its fun, its economical, its nippy, its funky, its reliable AND its safe - best small car on the market IMO!

All you lot have been brain washed. There are other good cars out there you know ;)

Yeah, I highly rate Daewoo Matiz's too, but I've only owned Matiz & Yaris, so its all I have to compare!:lol:

That's exactly me!! Except i have no money, so all my little money goes on running the beast!

So how come you bought a Yaris in the first place huh?? :D I know there are other car's, but in regards to the T-Sport, what car can have all it has (low insurance, sprightly performance, good mpg, easy to drive & run, etc etc) for the same age and cost?? Not many i don't think!

Oh, I love my car too.... it's fan-tab-ulous!

Well... nothing I imagine.

But, I have my CRX for about 2 weeks. Its 15yrs old, has a boat load of problems that need sorting, yet I absolutely love it. I'm probably more attached then I ever was to the Yaris. Insurance if roughly the same and its faster. Maybe it's because old cars have character.

What I'm saying is I wouldn't by a Yaris time and time again, you need to explore!

Yeh, I love mine to bits. It may only be a 1.0l, but it's my first car and is ideal for a place like Paphos. But as s0cks has said, there are plenty of other quality cars out there. Living in Cyprus, we get a lot of JDM cars, which can sometimes be very interesting. I do like the iST (Scion xA), but also like some other peculiar cars that come over (can't remember exact names or i'd find some pics to post up). As much as i'd like to get the new Vitz when it comes out, I have such a wide range of options car wise here, i reckon im gonna be stuck for choice. A Glanza is another option, test drove one before i got my Vitz, and i definately have a soft spot for them. So who knows, maybe an integra type r for my next car! How lush are they??

cant see myself owning 2 of any car unless they r completely different models

had a 1.0l then upgraded to a TS, which was written off after having it 6 months but saved my life was extremely lucky to survive and walk so i owe it to the TS also i hadnt done enough to the last 1 so ive gotta get another

I love my Yaris and my next car will probably be a T-Sport. After that I'll likely get a 'fast' car such as a Honda Civic Type-R, Scooby or something along they lines!

Yeah, old cars do have character, i'll admit to that, and if i was older i'd probably be running a Celica GT4 or such like. I'd only ever consider another Yaris if it were a T-sport, whilst i absolutley love my car and will probably run it out before i can afford to change it, when i do it'll be for something different.... i like a bit of variety! But, there aren't that many cars as reliable, cheap-to-run, fiesty, fun and sprightly as the Yaris, in any of it's variants. New cars i mean anyway.... for the price. I do like the look of the new swift i must admit.... especially the idea of the 1.6gti model due later! 120bhp in an 850kg car! Sounds like fun to me!

CRX is 900kg and has 150bhp  I tell thee it is fun! Swift looks like it will be cool, but not sure on the styling.

Back on topic: My T-Sport is a great car, and it is truely the best in its class. But that luvy duvy stuff is for girls :P
