Hi I'm having a prob with my Central locking the symptoms are exactly the same as another member had in 2003 "Martcaz"

His post is as follows (but the solution was never posted)

Can anybody help?

Just fitted a microscan alarm to my import...problem ..the alarm will arm/lock no problem...it will disarm but not unlock !!!It seems to work fine with the doors open ,ie courtesy light on.In the wiring diagram the courtesy light swith is connected to the central locking ...anybody else had this problem and how did you overcome it .

does the key still lock/ unl;ock both doors? common problem is for a piece to fall off behind lock, easy fix.

does the key still lock/ unl;ock both doors? common problem is for a piece to fall off behind lock, easy fix.

using key From n/s door all is ok lock/unlocks (central locking)

.

using key From o/s door, both doors lock but only o/s door will unlock.

using fob (alarm).....(alarm armed), Both doors lock

(alarm disabled), Doors do not unlock not even a click.

when door is open or if ignition is on both doors will lock/unlock with the key and the fob.

Its not a trick question but a solution will be nice...

child lock? try fixing the lock on the passenger side then, the alarm could be wiried into that door, if the piece is broke then see toyota, cheap to replace, which is nice
