Yeah, I just bought myself a set of Philips VisionPlus H4 bulbs and just wondered how to fit them :P i dont want to be going to my car guessing how or just going about it, too lazy for that!

and so that this thread doesnt become a waste, ill give you my review on them as well...we'll see if it really does give out " 50% " more light

Really is very easy.

You lift the bonnet up.

Locate the rear of the headlights.

There is a wire block kinda thing connected to it, just pull this off.

Then theres a rubber cover over the rear of the bulbs, simply pull that off.

Theres a metal catch holding the bulbs in, all you gotta do is push it in, then down (or up, cant quite remember) this will release the bulb.

Take the bulb out.

Put your new one in, ensuring it sits in properly.

Do the catch up again.

Slide the rubber cover back on.

Plug the cable block back on.

And bobs your uncle :D

who's uncle bob

lol, cheers for that rich! if i blow up my headlights though, im holding you legally responsible....i wonder if i should touch the headlights with my fingers :P

edit: that wasnt too bad  though the left headlight was a bit homosexual, what, with the Battery in the way and all :P and im a bit worried that i may have aligned them wrong - thanks rich for the instructions!....and just doing a car turned on in the garage (closed....yes.....the carbon monoxide started creeping up on me!) i didnt notice a very much brighter light....meh, im going to croydon later, so thatll be the big test!

verdict: at first not very obvious on lighted streets (duh), these bulbs are actually very good. I can't say if " 50% " more light is produced, but the light beam is definitely longer, definitley brighter and much much whiter. as a hole, it is a great addition, and i was stunned to say the least of the difference they made...woo!

I did a lighting degrade for mine!!! Put some French spec yellow bulbs in, nice and dim, cant see a thing but they look so cool!

hehe, well now THATS clever! meh, yellow looks like someone took a leak on the lights .....you should try the philips, i got mine for just £12!

on that note, what sidelights can i get? ive seen piaa ones but which ones do paseos use?...sorry for the terribly noobish questions, but, meh

£12 did you steal them! cheapest i've seen them for is £20. osram silverstars are good too.

my personal fave is hella 55/100 H4, not road legal but they were the best i've used.

tut tut nrgizer ;) yeah i know! I just looked up on other sites and yeah, theyre going for £20 - £25, i musta been lucky. i was gonna get some piaa bulbs but i just wanted a quick fix for the hell of it....plus the piaa's cost twice as much. eventually im gonna get a philips h.i.d conversion kits, its like £400 - £500 but hell, nothing can beat the light from those ...

oh and forget the sidelight question, found out its just your average wedge base bulbs, so gonna get some piaa ones of those...actually, im gonna replace all the bulbs (not replace em with coloured blue or whatever ones, eww!)

:P Yellow bulbs are the way to go!! Seriously, its kind of a tradition with me ever since 1997 all my cars have had yellow bulbs, trouble is they are getting scarce now, down to the last pair in the Paseo :(
