Need Help Reprogramming The Remote

Hello. I have a 2000 Corolla and the security system was installed after market. The Battery in the keyless remote drained out and was not changed for a few months. Now the new Battery is in, but the remote is no longer synchronized. Would appreciate any help / instructions / pointers to synchronize the remote with the car's security system. The brandname "Checkmate" is embossed on the remote. Thanks Ajay ajaygautam@yahoo.com
