I can sort of see why it would be seen as racist. Round here anyone with a bit of colour in their skin gets called an imigrant. This can be racially offensive to someone who was born in the UK, and so was their parents and their parents etc. I can't see that it is offensive to an actual imigrant as it is what they are, but I can see why they would have to ban it to stop it being used offensivley. They've got to keep up with America anyway in the PC world!
