This is the only info i have on the car so far

Only if its been fitted properly. Too many people think you can slap in a metal headgasket bolt the head back on and away you go. You need to prep the deck of the block and the head to a very flat and smooth level.

1) manuals arent rare.. ignore people who tell you that.

2) As martin says, that head gasket is by no means indestructable, despite being metal.

3) Cruise control + loads more is all standard equipment..

On the plus side, they're good powerful cars if you know how to mod them. The only weakspot is that headgasket... It is almost certain to blow again at some point.

My Mk3 is manual. There seem to be quite a few around, cruise/climate control and LSD all standard but alas non turbo!

I'm sure someone else will confirm but I think the turbo's are about 240bhp standard.

It has LEDS washers and neons.... Clasic signs of a muppet owner...Be wary!!

Metal headgaskets can be as bad as goot if not fitted with meticulous attention to detail...

The "eletric seats" are most probably just lumbar and bolster supports..

For a comparison look in my toc garage, I swapped my stock Uk spec SW-20 for my grey car

All turbos have LSD AFAIK..

Looks dodgey to me... shut lines don't look very good forom the dubious and unclear photos... no close up of rear arches.......

and its white! (Sorry Adi and Gareth ;))

I was thinking the same about the shut lines etc and it doesn't look that clean tbh.

Yours was the opinion i was waiting for and you made my mind up!

So no i wont be buying this particular mk3...

Oh and as well as the car he offered me 1500 for my car too... ;)
