I have a 1997 Corolla, 1.6, 4A-FE engine with about 100k on the clock.

Could anyone give me any helpful tips or advice on changing the timing belt?

I will be doing the work myself and I already have the part.

Thanks

By asking for tips you may not be an experienced mechanic so considering the horrific consequences of getting it wrong, for the sake of about £100, I'd let the dealer do it.

Good Luck,

Shango

Get your hands on the Haynes Repair Manual (#92036), it's shows you the steps.
