Hi mate,

Yes it will work on your car. The only issue is the whole AFM issue. Basically the BOV dumps air, which has already been metered so the ECU will give more fuel. Resulting in the car running rich.

Also you can have rough idling/stalling with BOV's on rev1/2 mr2s. This can be resolved tho by adjusting the pre-load on the BOV.

I'm not familiar with this BOV, but I would assume you could do this. All in all it SHOULD be ok.

well i was only looking at it because i thought it looked cheap,

isn't there a way that the afm can be removed so the car wouldn't run rich or stall as i don't want to ruin my engine

yip.. you would need some sort of seperate MAP ECU thing or a complete ECU relpacement will eliminate the AFM. (ie MOTEC etc)

Like I said tho it might be fine. I have a rev1 with a BOV and it's ok.

when i bought my mr2 its rev2 k reg it had a blitz bov on with no filter,

and it caused my car to stall and i blew the turbo twice

i don't think that was the cause though but since i put a standard valve on i haven't had a problem

the Blitz BOV is adjustable, so you should have been able to adjust it so it didn't stall. doubt it had anything to do with blowing your turbo(s) tho.

if u wanna remove the afm, ur either gonna have to go with an ems or get the hks vpc. i think thats what it is.

The greddy emanage also uses a pressure sensor, so the ARM 'CAN' be scrapped on the 2
