i'm currently debating getting a new car or not.

i can spend the money on the cynos - a BIG investment which i wont get back.....

Or i've got 3 other choices in mind.......

pulsar.jpg

Nissan Pulsar GTI-R 2l Turbo 4wd 230bhp

Or

show_picture.jpg

1993 Toyota Supra SZ aero top - non turbo 225bhp

The other choise is a secret for now till the other party involved has decided he's selling..... It's a fellow TOC members car - thats all i'm saying

I've been looking seriously into Pulsars for a while now, but the Supra i've always loved...

Any help guys??? :wacko::help:

J

supra looks good, looks more class than the pulse.

n/a supra is a bit of a waste cause you'll need to spend a lot more to get it as fast as the tt supra, but id go for the supra, great handling and has an image that hasnt been ruined by countless chavs unlike the pulsar...though the pulsar is itself a little legend

i'd get the supra. whats the fuel consumption like - or don't you care :D

Which ever you decide on just take into acount running costs both these cars arn't cheap at all to run.

i want an mr2 too :( but i want the mk1 g-limited supercharged one....:(

Posted

big relaxed 3 litre 6 cyl 2WD N/A Supra should be cheaper to run than the 4WD Pulsar 2 litre 4 cyl.

all depends on your right foot reaaly ;)

well Pulsar can get about 450 per tank, not to sure on the supra....

i'm swinging towards the Supra, its actually a smidge cheaper to buy than the pulsar lol...

Now dont get me wrong i love supras with all my heart but if u cant get the twin turbo id go with the pulsar . My dads in the supra owners club and what seems to come across to me from the NA supras is there is always a felling of being second best.

Posted

But the Pulsar never really did well in Rallies. Always scond best compared to the Integrale, Ford Escort Cosworth, Imprezas etc.,

And it looks like a Kevved up Sunny as well.

supra, any day of the week!! as andrew said, the pulsar doesnt look as nice as the supra.

plus, u've gotta love the noise from the 3.0L!!!

Rich.

Supra any day, that little Nissan is a tempremental beastie, the Supra will be so much more reliable. Id go for an MR2 though!

Get the supra dude

There is only 1 car I have seen on TOC that might be coming up for sale in the future that I would buy on here  and thats only coz it's rare as :censor: :lol:

firstly, 450 miles to a tank on a Pulsar???? are you sure? my mate has two of em and he only manages 300 miles to a tank?

secondly, have you considered a Porsche 944? should be able to source a good Turbo version for £5k ish, which im guessing is the budget you have lined up...

PULSAR

lovely gorgeous looking cars and easily tuneable

have you considered a Porsche 944?

i would agree with you there, my dad had one for a few years, non turbo, impressively quick.

i have always wanted to get one after that, but the chances of getting insured for a decent price are zero!!!

£3500 tpft last time i checked!!!

but surely those prces are the same for Supras? at least the latest ones..?

also a Mitsubishi GTO? or FTO even?

Motegi Prelude?

300 ZX?

Audi S2?

shop around matey, you can/will find a lot of car for the money if your willing to accept the much higher running costs.

GTO's suffer from lots of expensive electrical stuff. The potential cost of fixing it would put me off.
