Has Anyone Ever...

First thing I've bought the Yaris!!! I found it hiding away 6 miles from my house! (After searching between here and london)

Anyway, it's arriving tomorrow, but I'm well aware when i get it I'll constantly have no money. So... the headunit is being ordered today... (It comes with tape-deck as standard, and i don't think i own a single tape, and id rather not do the digital tape-lin out and have a CD player on the dash etc)

Anyway, i wanted to order the headunit of my dreams - Pioneer: DEH-P80MP

Has anyone seen one installed in a Yaris? If i remember from reading your articles before its hard to fit one, and this one is notoriously hard to fit...

i love pioneer, produce some wicked headunits, any particular reason as to why that headunit causes issues i didnt realise it would and presumed would be like fitting any other headunit into the yaris. Ive had pioneer before and never had any issues.

Well it's my dream head unit, and I've found it marked down from £449.99 to £249.99, which brings it into a !Removed! ratio for price/product..

Just essentially i've heard they can be a pain to fit (They look bigger - whether the cage has something to do with it?)

Also has anyone fitted a DAB radio...

I assumed i would need a new ariel, but i haven't found any information on it...

I have the pioneer DEH 8400mp!

And its so easy to fit!much easier than i thought!

I saw that HU in a shop the other day and it looked slightly larger on the front!

If you order the parts listed by chappers in one of his threads it comes with instruction on how to fit it in the Echo(same car)

Couldn't get all the money together due to restriction on how much you can take out of the bank per day, so will have all funds tomorrow, hence cars arriving tomorrow... Rather excited... lol

Problem with head units is they all have simular numbers....

This is the actual thing... Same letters etc but a few less i think

Ah well... Shouldn't be too hard. I'm good with Hi-fis and general wiring, but never really done anything in a car other than a sub and amp in a mates Daewoo (dont ask) (Vibe Black air twin 15" though :D )

you get an extra antenna if you intend to fit DAB on pioneer units sticks in corner of the windscreen,
