Does anyone know if adding a p/plate can screw up your insurance?

Obviously you have to inform them of the change in registration but do they care? If its not adding value onto the car does it increase the policy?

Just remembered still got the receipt from dvla if it helps.

Number-£250

Vat-£43.75

DoT fee-£80

Total-£373.75

I'm looking at the £250 on the DVLA website, it says thats they are all inclusive of the VAT & DOT, I hope! :blink:

i got mine all in at £250 from dvla

the plate i wanted wasnt available at the time, but a week after buying mine, some dude pulled my over and offered me his plate for £300... the god damn plate i was after!!! :angry::angry::angry:

its an £80 transfer fee when it comes to changing the plate to a new car mind.... though its probably gone up in the last two years ;)

Na it's still £80, thanks for the info Mellow, just can't make up my mind - don't know if I can handle £250 right now...
