Prewired For Cd-changer Or Not?

Just got my brand new Toyota Avensis Wagon D4D and want to upgrade it with a cd-changer.

Is the car prewired for it? And where can I find the connections without having to tear the car appart?

Thanks for the replies

No unfortunatley it's not. There is a connector in the Audio system wiring loop with a connector behind the centre console.

When you but the changer from Toyota, you also need a mounting kit which includes the additional wiring harness that you require. No big deal really.

Having one fitted on recent purchase. It's a 'carpets up' job, unit fitted under passenger seat. When it's on it's the default player, turn it off and you're back to the factory fitted unit, or so I'm told.

Be nice not to have all those CD cases cluttering up the place and make the most of the sound system!

Actually I have one on my T3-X.

It works seamlessly with the head unit. If you hit the CD button on the headunit it switches to the cd in the head unit, hit CD again it it cycles to the changer (and so on). Also the steering wheel controls also fully operate the changer.

Again, pressing the mode button cycles through the Radio stations and then CD (the headunit) and CD1 (the changer).

Regards

I've a changer but no lead. If you've a lead and no changer i'm open to doing a deal either way...!
