Door Check Straps

My doors are very loose, and tend to fly open and the door check straps do not hold the doors at all.

Can anyone suggest if there is any adjustment on the straps, or if they need replacing

Toyota are wanting £39 + vat for each check strap, so just wanted to make doubly sure that there is anything that I can do to adjust them!
