As the topic title says, but what year were these used, and can i buy one, really like the look of them :P

i think they might be illegal to put one on unless your car is produced in that sort of time. :)

Aren't they irish plates?

if you bring in a old car and get it reg here for the first, you can have a choise of style of plates.normaly for exanple if the car was producted in 1965 and you lived in kildare then the reg would be 65KE1234 or you can have what is discribed here a black plate with silver letters which would read 1234ZV for the old style look, some of the Army have Black plates with silver letters but apart from that its illegal here. there even a new law now if you have anything outside guide lines for example fancy fonts or colour then the revenue can inpound the car with NO return a little extreame but true :wacko:

I believe they are only legal in the UK on cars registered before 1970 or there abouts. :(
