On my old punto sporting mk2 i had a k&n 57i filter - **** i know they are compared to a apexi. my dad said the guy at fiat said it woulnt pass mot.

Question is tho regarding my t sport and an apexi, do i need to take it off during mot time?, and has anyone been thru mot successfully and what is toyota like with servicing with an apexi fitted?

You should have no problems passing an MOT with the Apexi on the car. The only problem you may have is with Toyota and weather or not they void your warrenty because you have an aftermarket part fitted.

Regarding filters and such "small" modifications, what have you guys done about insurance? Let them no, not let them know? Any info would be good... Don't want to plough into a new Mercedes and then the insurance say its the air filters fault and not pay out... Otherwise one will be here within hours :)

The only thing they can fail an induction kit on is the breather pipe (it has to be attached) and the general fitting of it(if it falls of when they touch it,it will fail)

As mentioned an MOT should be fine with an induction system and yes declare it if you want to be properly insured.

It shouldnt make much of a difference ... if in diubt shop around a bit.

I thought most warranty would have expired by 3 years, apart from the anti-perforation warranty?
