Noise Problem

Hi All,

Just had my 40,000 service done on my 1.8 vvts GS 51 plate. Now when I drive it there is a whinning noise with also a muffled clattering noise coming from somewhere in the engine bay. To be fair the noise was there before the service but its noticably worse since. When clutch is depressed it stops. Any ideas suggestions/cost??

could be a worn thrust bearing on the clutch assembly ????????????

Any ideas about how much this is to replace and if I need to replace clutch at the same time? :huh:
