Very true mate, I refuse to have the daft rubber strips hanging aswell, I just learn to put up with it and touch the door before anyone else does!

Its awful when it happens - I appear to be highly charged - I give everyone shocks at work!

I've found wearing heels helps...... not that I'm suggesting you guys go out and buy a nice pair of Jimmy Choos..... although it may help!:lol:

This has been posted several times before and it is usually associated with the dryer weather and wearing of synthetic clothing.

Answer?......................................drive in the nude with the windows up  ;)

i hav a feeling its 2 do with the shoes you wear.... like if they have thick rubber soles....i only ever get it when i wear those shoes.

hav a feeling its something 2 do with you not being earthed if you wear those, but then when u touch the car you become earth earthed.....POW!! u get a shock...well thats not really the sound it makes.

More like a crack or zip!:)

My dad used to have to touch the ground when he got out of his car before he touched the door to close it, that worked for some reason. Try that, you're right, you shouldnt have to but that might work until you sort the problem.
