`91 Front Speaker Trouble

Hey,

Im having alot of trouble with my stereo system. I just installed a new cd/radio headunit into the car and when i turn the sound up past a certain volume the sound cuts out and makes scratch noises. The right speaker on the car does not make any noise at all.

That is my first problem..

The second is I want to repleace the Speakers but when I went in to remove the current front Speakers installed in the dash I found that after removing the front venting, which is attached by clips, there is a metal piece which can be removed by screws. After that is removed the speaker is unable to fit through the hole. I dont understand how to remove a speaker that is too big for the hole its in.

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Dont mind my spelling please :D
