If fitting 17inch then I would say yes you will need to roll/grind arches back if carrying more than two/lot of luggage in car regulary; although a couple on this forum reckon not.

I presume you are buying a wheel and tyre package. If so beware some 'outlets' offer the wheels with some very 'iffy' tyres (Nankang is one awful tyre manufacter that springs to mind) 'cause it's cheaper then to make the package attractive. :ffs:

Also Corollas with 17 inch wheel and tyre set ups don't handle as well as Corollas still on their original 14 inch wheels. For handling 15 and 16 inch is best; although I realise from a looks/fashion point that 17 inch (or even 18's ) are desired.

Happy shopping :D

WOOOOOOO, watch out, dont go to big, watch the shocks on the rear, they are a wierd shape and trust, i put 17s with fairly low profile tyres on and the shocks ripped the tyres to shreads, stick with 15s with 205/50R15V tyres, im running these and the car handles amazing and stops very well, it actually acclerates faster and the car is about an inch lower than with the stock wheels. dont forget you may need an eccentric hub adapter to fit different wheels and make sure the offset is the same, if it aint you will start destroying wheel bearings.

Be carefull!!

hope this helps!!
