standard system is very effective already

u'll probably lose power by fitting an induction kit.

best off is getting a panel filter. drill a 3" hole in under neath of airbox. force a 3" pipe into the hole and run the pipe to under the car.

if u want more noise block the resonator box and drill more holes in underneath of airbox making sure u run cold air too each hole

Ive heard one of the best around is the BMC CDA. Real tests show actual proper gains of over 10bhp on some cars!! And they make one for the celica too. im savin for one, they are around £190

£190 :o. wont get any more gains over a modified standard system. they are good on the GT's/SS2's as standard.

someone once said to me that "HKS could sell the asians sand"

its true they sell grounding kits for £50 which are nomore than a few pounds worth of wire. They sell "induction kits" which are nothing more than a filter worth £20 with a piece of pipe! lol

dude, i've put on a blitz filter and its changed the pick up from 3/3.5K rpm to 2ishK rpm and it only cost £40! wel worth it trust me, why spend £190 for something your gonna need to change in a 1/2 years cos of the dust build up!

I've got a K&N one just now as well (was on the car when I bought it), but I'm saving up to change it....

Yes it makes lots of noise, but whats the point in that, I want a bit more power out the thing, if I want noise I'll lean out the window and !Removed!!

In my opinion the K&N is a waste of money, 'cause lets face it you buy an induction kit to get more power out of your engine, and the K&N just doesn't deliver.

k&n are still some of th ebest for filtration out there, they have become a chav filter but they deserve more respect they have been building filters longer than blitz, hks, bmc, pipercross and apex, they know there stuff, u may not get as much power out of them as a blitz but they filter a hell of a lot better

the lack of power gain has nothing todo the filtration restrictions its all down to the warm air u get with a induction kit.

U cant beet a modified airbox with K&N panel on this car im afraid.

my intake temp runs at around 21-26c which is not bad induction kits do improve power in th eright conditions there is no denying that, but there is also the factor of heat soak but that can be solved, im afraid mate were going to have to agree to disagree again, im taking the good with the bad on my induction kit, has improived engine respons and power over my blitz panel and drilled box

how can ya say that a k&n is just a !Removed! maker :wacko:

its a cold air induction kit!!!!there is less heat below the engine than in the engine bay and that is where the air is fed from

unless u drive your car on its roof  it must be having a positive effect :!Removed!:
