Hi all, have any of the owners with older celicas tried upgrading the brakes/suspension before?

Im looking to fit a AE86 servo/master cylinder into my 22, and it looks like i'll have to cut and weld parts of the engine bay to locate it. Im just wondering if it worth it, the servo unit is much bigger, but im unsure of how much of a difference it would make. Im also looking to get hold of the rear caliper mounting brakets from a RWD AE86, in an attempt to fit them.

Does anybody know the dimensions of the AE86's rear srings? I know the rear shocks fit, as im already running these (adjustable), from AVO.

And how about the front suspension? whats the difference in tracking? I think its possible to swap, but have yet to try as im busy building the 2TG/3T hybrid.

Thanks for any help.

Scot,

From what I have been told the AE86 struts will bolt straight in, all you have to do is swap the tops over. You need to speak to Adrian at Fensport as he has loads of parts for the old Corolla GT's.

Apparently you can also swap the horrible recirculating ball steering with a Cavalier rack and some welding!

Make the old girl handle like she goes eh??

Mike
