Strange Starting Problem

<_<

went to start her up this morning to go to college. it was a bit reluctant to start, but started then cut out after about 2 seconds. tried again, and this time i was turning the key for about 15 seconds or so, with it sort of almost starting, but not quite getting there. then eventually, it started and drove normally, and it's since started normally.

i seem to have found that around once a month, on an odd occasion it will be slightly reluctant to start, but its never been as bad as it was today. doesn't really bother me too much, as up to now, it's been rare occasions that its done it. just wondered if anyone could think of what might be causing it?

Dunno about where you are based, but we had a lot of rain yesterday. Could it possibly just be a bit of moisture on ignition components? I fid a light dusting of WD40 keeps moisture away from said items

Other than that I don't know...

Is the coil on its way out? (and what a strange looking coil they are to!)

Only a thought.

god, i hope not! if anything else goes wrong, i think i'll cry :crybaby: it also seems to have developed an intermittent sort of squeak over bumps on the osf. i can't figure out if it's something in the door assembly rubbing, or maybe the arch liner on the wing, or if its suspension related

Is it the 'Tie bar' that conects the anti roll bar to the front wishbone? I know these wear on Mk1 MR2'S (Practical Classic did an article about it) and the design is the same.
